ForeSite — Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 9, 2026 · ForeSite Quotes LLC, a Michigan limited liability company
This Privacy Policy explains what information ForeSite Quotes LLC ("ForeSite," "we," "us") collects when you use foresitequotes.com and the ForeSite application (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, password (stored as a hash — we never store plain-text passwords), and phone number, which we verify by SMS code to administer the free trial.
- Job content: photos you upload, job details, notes, crew and travel inputs, and the estimates and AI-generated "after" images produced from them.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we receive limited billing details such as plan, payment status, and the last four digits of your card.
- Approximate location (optional, only if you ask for it): if you tap "Use my location," your browser asks your permission and, if you allow it, sends us your device's approximate coordinates for that one lookup only. We use them to find the job's ZIP code (for local material pricing) and its climate region (so the images weather the job realistically for where it actually is). We do not store your coordinates, and we do not track your location. Only the resulting ZIP code is kept, and only with that job. You can always type a ZIP instead, or leave it blank.
- Usage and device data: log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used for security and to operate the Service. We use browser storage (such as localStorage) to keep you signed in and support offline features.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service: analyze photos, build estimates, generate after-images and cost-of-waiting images, maintain your job history, and share customer-facing quote links you choose to send.
- To price materials near the job, and to make the AI images reflect the real climate where the job is — decay is local, and a two-year projection in Phoenix should not look like one in Michigan.
- To verify accounts, enforce trial limits, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To process subscriptions and send service communications (verification codes, receipts, important account notices).
- To improve, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
We do not sell your personal information. Your photos and job data are not used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. They are processed only to build your estimates and after-images, through providers (Anthropic, Replicate) that do not train on this data. We do not use your photos for advertising.
3. Service Providers We Share Data With
We share information only with the vendors needed to run the Service, under their own privacy and security terms:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Subscription payments | Billing details, email |
| Twilio | SMS phone verification | Phone number, verification codes |
| Replicate | AI image generation | Uploaded job photos and prompts |
| U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder | Turning coordinates into a ZIP code, only when you tap "Use my location" | Approximate coordinates for that single lookup — no account, no identifiers, not retained by us |
| Render | Application hosting | All Service data (hosted infrastructure) |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition), in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected data.
4. Customer-Facing Quote Links
When you send a quote link to your customer, that page shows the information you chose to present (such as the price, scope, and after-image). It does not display your internal cost inputs such as wages or margins. Anyone with the link can view that quote page, so share links only with intended recipients.
5. Photo Handling and Retention
- Uploaded photos are used to produce estimates and after-images and are retained as part of your job history so you can revisit past quotes.
- You can delete individual jobs in the app at any time.
- You can delete your entire account yourself, at any time, in the app under Account → Privacy & your data. Deletion takes effect immediately: your login is disabled, your email, phone number and business details are removed or anonymized, your photos and estimate contents are removed, and every customer-facing quote link stops working.
- What we retain, and why: after deletion we keep only minimal business records — job titles, dates, and identifiers — where retention is required by applicable law, including tax, accounting, billing, and fraud-prevention obligations, and to resolve disputes or enforce agreements. Payment and transaction records are held by our payment processor (Stripe) under its own legal retention obligations. Once a legal retention period ends, the corresponding records are deleted or remain anonymized.
- You can also request deletion by emailing Support@foresitequotes.com; we complete verified requests within 30 days, subject to the same legally required retention described above.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords hashed with bcrypt, HttpOnly session cookies, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials private.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Customer information entered by contractors: contractors may enter information about their own customers — such as a customer's name, phone number, and job address — to build quotes, invoices, comeback reminders, and appointments. ForeSite stores and processes that information on the contractor's behalf, shares it only between the contractor and that customer, and never sells it or uses it for advertising. If you are a contractor's customer and want information about you corrected or removed, contact your contractor, or email Support@foresitequotes.com and we will assist.
- Scheduling data: if your contractor schedules your job through ForeSite, we store the appointment details (date, time, job address, the contractor's stated terms) and any reschedule or cancellation request you send, including a timestamp of when you acknowledged the contractor's terms. This information is shared only between you and your contractor.
- Access, update, or delete your account information by logging in or contacting us. You can download a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any time in the app under Account → Privacy & your data → Download my data.
- Opt out of non-essential communications at any time (service messages like verification codes and receipts will still be sent).
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). Contact us at Support@foresitequotes.com and we will honor applicable requests.
8. Children
The Service is for business use by adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
